Samsung wins import ban ruling

A handful of older Apple devices have been banned from being imported to the US for violating Samsung patents.

According to the International Trade Commission (ITC), the import ban affects the AT&T versions of the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 3G, and iPad 2 3G.

The ITC says says the Apple devices infringe on Samsung's patents.

Here's the PDF of the ITC's ruling. Since iPhones are made overseas, the ITC has authority to block them from being imported to the US.

Apple said in a statement to AllThingsD that it will fight to have the ITC's import ban overturned.
