You may have noticed that your Gmail inbox has changed — and if it hasn’t, it probably will soon. The new inbox means that you might miss our emails.
Want to avoid that? Here’s what to do:
STEP 1: Drag a No Agenda email from the Promotions tab to the Primary tab.
STEP 2: Click “Yes,” so that all No Agenda emails go to your Primary tab.
For most of you this will be all you need to do. If you want to go the extra mile to make sure you never miss a No Agenda email - do the following:
STEP 1: Search for the phrase “from:@dvorak.org” from your inbox.
STEP 2: Select a few of the messages found by the search. Then Under the “More” menu, choose “Filter messages like these.”
STEP 3: In the expanded search box that pops up, click the link “Create filter with this search” in the lower right hand corner.
STEP 4: Make the following selections “Never send it to Spam”, “Categorize as: Personal”, and “Also apply filter to matching conversations.” Then click the “Create Filter” button.
This should insure delivery of your No Agenda Email updates to your personal inbox. It is further recommended that you use a real mail client like Thunderbird instead of the web based interface - your mail client doesn't have a "promotions" tab.
You can use this same process with other newsletters as well to prevent missing messages that get dumped into the promotions tab.
