Veteran CNN political anchor Candy Crawley is leaving CNN, network president Jeff Zucker announced in a staff memo Friday.
Crowley, who hosted the network’s Sunday morning State Of The Union news/public affairs program, has been with the network since 1987. It is unclear who will take over her position.
In 2012 Crowley moderated a presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
In the memo Zucker called Crawley one of the “most important and impactful journalists” at CNN.
