VIDEO-» Paranoid Professor Quits UT After University Allows Concealed Carry Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!

A University of Texas professor is quitting and moving from Austin to Australia following the University’s decision to allow students to carry concealed handguns on campus.

Economics professor emeritus Daniel Hamermesh claims that “With a huge group of students my perception is that the risk that a disgruntled student might bring a gun into the classroom and start shooting at me has been substantially enhanced by the concealed-carry law.”

Appearing on Fox News, the professor complained that “under the age of 25 guy’s brains are not fully formed,” and said he now fears for his own safety.

When asked how this law, which could potentially protect more students and staff from unhinged shooters, could possibly increase the risk on campus, the professor said he was not worried about disturbed outsiders coming in and attacking, rather about his own students losing the plot over bad grades.

“I’m not so much worried about the person who has planned ahead of time to come to campus and my office.” said Hamermesh, adding that he IS worried about what happens if a student “suddenly snaps” after getting angry with him.

“It’s not just me, it’s any professor who teaches a large number of students, faces this same increased risk.” Hamermesh claimed.

“I’ve had students get very angry in class, I’ve had other professors mention to me in the last few days things that disgruntled students do,” the professor added, claiming that occasionally students “go berserk”.

“I’m not going to carry a gun, I don’t want to be involved in the gun fight.” Hamermesh concluded, speaking as if UT were the Wild West.
