STORY: Heavy rain triggers flooding and mudslides in the foothills north of Los Angeles. Several inches of rain fell in an hour on Thursday...the rushing water prompting authorities to close roads, leaving drivers stranded. (SOUNDBITE) (English) John Hall, Stranded driver, saying: "It's so bad, its like a lake. This is wild! Its not only dirty water, I have no idea what's in this water." (SOUNDBITE) (English) Jeanne Eisele, Stranded driver, saying: "Apparently the hail was going through my skylight." California Highway Patrol even closed parts of the busy Interstate 5 freeway in both directions. Flood warnings from The National Weather Service for parts of northwestern Los Angeles County and northeastern Ventura County tell drivers in a statement: "Turn around, don't drown."
