VIDEO-Hillary Clinton Doesn’t Seem to Notice Making Major Word Mix-Up During Speech — Critics Are Calling It a ‘Freudian Slip’ | Video | TheBlaze.com

Hillary Clinton has a new policy position — ensuring former presidents do not have to declare their criminal history on job applications.

While speaking at a NAACP event in Charleston, South Carolina, Friday, the Democratic presidential frontrunner detailed the trouble former prisoners have when applying for jobs after their incarceration — a problem that Clinton said creates an endless cycle of poverty, hopelessness and more crime.

“Earlier today, I announced that as president I will take steps to ban the box so former presidents won’t have to declare their criminal history at the very start of the hiring process,” Clinton said to a smattering of applause. “That way they’ll have a chance to been seen as more than just someone who has done time.”

Clinton didn’t seem to notice the apparent mix-up of her words during her speech, but others did.

“Was it a gaffe? A Freudian slip? A softening liberal opinion of the Bush family? A subtle tip of the cap to Ulysses S. Grant’s reckless horse and buggy rides?” Slate wrote.
