The Low Carbon Investment (LCI) Registry is a voluntary, partial, global public online database of low carbon and clean energy investments and investments to reduce exposure to Greenhouse Gas Emissions, made by institutional investors. It provides examples of low carbon investments made by asset owners (Pension funds, master trusts or insurance companies) globally with the aims of developing low carbon investment markets and informing governments and beneficial fund members of the ways capital is flowing away from emissions intensive activities and towards low carbon investments. The project is an initiative of the groups in the Global Investor Coalition on Climate Change (IIGCC Europe, Ceres/INCR North America, IGCC Australia & New Zealand and AIGCC Asia). It is open to any institutional investor.
