Take a look at this…

And now, think about this…

Now ask yourself this question. How did enough Zika cross the Pacific to cause an epidemic? Wikipedia, like every mainstream source, is either unwilling or unable to answer this, sticking to the route the virus appears to have taken

In April 2007, the first outbreak outside of Africa and Asia occurred on the island of Yap in the Federated States of Micronesia, characterized by rash, conjunctivitis, and arthralgia, which was initially thought to be dengue, chikungunya or Ross River disease.[41] However, serum samples from patients in the acute phase of illness contained RNA of Zika virus. There were 49 confirmed cases, 59 unconfirmed cases, no hospitalizations, and no deaths.[42] More recently, epidemics have occurred in Polynesia, Easter Island, the Cook Islands and New Caledonia.[40]Since April 2015, a large, ongoing outbreak of Zika virus that began in Brazil has spread to much of South and Central America, and the Caribbean. In January 2016, the CDC issued a level 2 travel alert for people traveling to regions and certain countries where Zika virus transmission is ongoing.

There has been speculation that the virus was spread back in 2014 when Brazil hosted the FIFA World Cup, and was visited by large numbers of people. This doesn’t really stand up though, because none of the affected countries had teams playing. However, there was something else that started in 2014:

Brazil starts HPV vaccination programMarch 10, 2014Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff on Monday said the country was rolling out a vaccination program to protect five million 11-to 13-year-old girls against the human papilloma virus (HPV), which can cause cause cervical cancer.“The state has an obligation to protect all girls,” Rousseff said as she inaugurated the program in Sao Paulo.Brazil intends over five years to produce a vaccine in conjunction with biomedical research center Butantan Institute and US pharmaceutical company Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) via a $480 million investment, making available 41 million doses over that time frame until Brazil’s labs can produce their own.The first year of the program will see 15 million doses—three per child—administered. The government hopes to reach at least 80 percent of Brazil’s 5.2 million girls in the targeted age group. The World Health Organization says cervical cancer is the second most common form of the disease in women worldwide, each year bringing 250,000 deaths and 500,000 new cases.

Medical ExpressIt wouldn’t be the first time that the HPV vaccination has been found to be contributing to the ill health of nations.
