♦ After years of reluctance, in a July 1998 interview with the A&E network John F Kennedy Jr. said he was finally considering an entry into politics. He was 38 years old.
♦ Four months later, in November of 1998, New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan announced he would be retiring at the end of his senate term (election year 2000).
♦ Seven months later, on July 16th 1999, JFK Jr. was killed in a nighttime plane crash during a flight to Martha’s Vineyard.
♦ Two months later, September 1999, Hillary Rodham Clinton moved to a residence in Chappaqua New York, and announced she was running for Moynihan’s senate seat.
♦ In November 2000 Hillary Rodham Clinton was elected to replace Senator Moynihan. [Her term from January 2001 through January 2009]
♦ BUTTERFLY EFFECT – If John F Kennedy Jr. had not died in that July 1999 plane crash there probably never would have been a Senator Hillary Clinton.
