Hello all! Well, we're absolutely blown away by everyone's generosity and the sheer number of people who have been getting the word out. It's incredible and we can't thank you enough.
Since our last update, we've had to change our plans. Long story short, we're not going to be able to move to York right now. Instead, we're going to Hull until we can find our financial feet. (For anyone not aware of the UK property market, York is a very expensive area, Hull isn't.)
It was a difficult decision to make, since we're absolutely in love with York, but it's the right thing to do. We still have a whole bunch of hurdles to overcome, but they're much easier to deal with in Hull. We've been struggling to find a guarantor, since we both have very small families, but we're hoping to be able to negotiate around this.
On the bright side, Loren is currently on a train to Hull where they'll be viewing properties for the next few days. If all goes well, we'll find our new home!
