This Fusion GPS story is out of control and it’s a shame that the media isn’t talking about it. The Trump dossier was garbage.  It was full of lies and was clearly meant to derail his presidency.  Who paid Fusion GPS for it?

That’s what the House Intelligence Committee is trying to get answers about.

Two Fusion GPS co-founders have already pleaded the 5th and refuse to give answers. Typically, that’s not something people with nothing to hide do.

However, it looks like one Fusion GPS partner is going to do the right thing and talk.

This could be big.

From Conservative Tribune:

Less than a month after two Fusion GPS co-founders pleaded the fifth and refused to testify to the House Intelligence Committee regarding the Trump-Russian dossier, a third co-founder has agreed to answer questions from the committee next week.

The testimony of Glenn Simpson, a former journalist who helped commission the Russia dossier with allegations of collusion by President Donald Trump’s top aides, was offered as part of a deal between the committee and Fusion GPS, according to CNN.

The committee had issued a subpoena for Simpson’s testimony, but in exchange for his voluntary appearance, the committee agreed to withdraw the subpoena.

Not perfect. But, better than nothing.

Here’s more.

From The Daily Caller:

Simpson’s move comes amid a tense legal battle over Fusion’s bank records. On Friday, Fusion filed papers in federal court in Washington, D.C. asking a judge to issue a temporary restraining order preventing its bank from releasing records related to financial transactions it has had with “any law firm, ‘media company’ or journalist with which it has worked.”

The House committee issued a subpoena early last month to Fusion’s bank for records over the past two years. The panel hoped to identify the political clients who hired the firm to investigate Trump.

Fusion’s two Trump-related clients came forward late last month as it appeared that they would be revealed in the bank records.

A lot of questions.

Not a lot of answers.

We do know that the DNC funded the research that went into the dossier.

From Fox News:

The controversial dossier containing salacious allegations about President Donald Trump and his possible connections to Russia, including coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, resulted from funding by Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee to the firm Fusion GPS, a source familiar with the situation confirmed to Fox News.

Fusion GPS was retained by Marc E. Elias, an attorney representing the DNC and the Clinton campaign, The Washington Post first reported Tuesday. Fusion GPS then reportedly hired former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele to write the now-infamous dossier.

Steele had ties both to the U.S. intelligence community and the FBI.

The liberal left has been trying so hard to make this Russian collusion thing happen.

It’s simply not there.

At some point, Democrats need to admit it and move on.
