Semiconductor industry workers, those who keep our nation at the forefront of technological innovation and support all of our high-tech infrastructure, have become the latest target of government overreach. Many companies in the industry have begun to do the bidding of OSHA, an unelected and unaccountable bureaucracy tasked by the Biden Administration with enforcing a vaccine mandate. Coercion of employees to disclose private medical information (vaccine status) with the aim of forcing vaccinations on them under threat of job loss, has begun.
In just a few short months, semiconductor industry workers and professionals have gone from “essential frontline workers” to being threatened with the loss of their livelihoods if they don’t disclose their private medical information and/or submit to vaccination. This isn’t about politics, vaccine efficacy, or workplace safety concerns; it's about taking a stand to preserve freedom for everyone, and for future generations.
On top of frightening implications for fundamental human rights and liberty, this blatant attack on employee dignity, trust, privacy, and autonomy has caused morale to plummet around the industry. Already facing difficulty in finding qualified workers to replace an aging workforce, and with supply chain shortages looming, semiconductor manufacturing is vulnerable. When workers are forced to leave the semiconductor industry over vaccine mandates, the support system for our technology dependent society will leave with them. To preserve high-tech manufacturing and technological infrastructure while taking a stand for medical choice, bodily autonomy, privacy, and the foundational principles of human freedom, please consider signing and sharing this petition as far and wide as you can.
