First, there’s the inherent mental illness and then the fact that both combatants are generally better matched physically. So the fight goes on much longer. I worked with a guy who was a Detective for a reasonably sized city at one point. I was 21 or so and he was telling me about his experience since he was retired working security for a UPS hub.
He told me that “you’ve never seen a murder scene until you see a ‘gay on gay’ murder.” It frankly caught me off guard and in shock I asked “WHY!” He even had a “boyfriend”.
“It’s like animals full of rage” It’s been a few decades but his face and tone of voice was serious.
