- Debate
- Debate thoughts
- First of all, I never underestimate President Trumps ability to effectively communicate to the American people.
- This however was not his arena - This was a courtroom drama
- If you've ever been in court, it is a very uneasy experience when the other side makes their case. Even if they aren't lying, it can even make you question yourself
- That's why many felt so uncomfortable, we were the jury, told to sit silently and watch Prosecutor Harris make her case.
- I had this with the MTV domain case and other copyright disputes
- When the truth is bent or outright lied about, you cannot help but respond, this is the trolling that she is expert at, making him protest too much.
- VP Harris' gestures, her glances, looking straight at the 'defendant', was all courtroom drama
- But this isn't Judge Judy.
- This was not a debate, it was a representation of the US legal system as it is today, with two judges instead of moderators and us, the neutered jury sitting on the sidelines.
- All the discussion that ensued afterwards is just part of the Culture War Economy, that includes cable news, big podcast names like Kelly, Bongino, beck etc. They felt gypped, but I believe the American people, who are struggling, heard his repeated messaging about the economy, immigration and war.
- Springfield BOTG report from Texas Junta
- Springfield on Tuesday to see for myself if the hype held any water.
- HOLY COW IT DOES! The Haitians were everywhere. I went to an auto parts
- store so I could run errands while I was in town and also scope things
- out. There was a line of Haitians getting things for their cars for some
- reason. I noticed that the first guy in line had to activate the card
- he was using before he made a purchase, so it stands to reason he had
- recently been set up with an account. I was very annoyed to see a couple
- of them wearing their work clothes from F&P which is an automotive
- parts manufacturing factory. F&P survived the exodus of GM and
- Delphi from the region and I know a lot of people who got through some
- awfully hard times from the hard and dirty work yet fair pay and
- benefits F&P provided. The kicker is that F&P isn't even in
- Springfield - it is a solid 30 to 45 minute drive through the
- countryside away in the town of Troy. That's especially interesting
- because the school bus that was ran off the road by a Haitian was in the
- Northwestern school district which serves that countryside between
- Springfield and Troy. The school bus incident is the main thing that has
- the locals very riled up. My friends and family in that area haven't
- stopped talking about it since last year when it happened. After
- the car parts store I went and parked at a gas station and simply
- observed for about an hour. Almost all of the traffic was Haitian. And
- yes, they are terrible drivers. I've driven in Arab areas and these
- Haitians make the Arabs look like Nigel Mansell.
- didn't take the time to try to chat anybody up. I'd say pretty much
- what you think is going on is what appears to be going on. Somebody is
- hauling them in, somebody is setting them up with housing, somebody is
- placing them into jobs, etc etc. It's the same thing over and over again
- and a lot of people are making money by what amounts to human
- trafficking at best and slavery at worst. It is incredibly galling to me
- as a local that this is happening here after the things the natives
- have been told throughout my life.
- Gripe
- have to go to college so you don't have to work in a factory" -> The
- degree turns out to be a financial black hole with no benefit, and you
- end up wishing you could get on at a factory
- realities have changed, and we are shifting into a services based
- economy" -> The services industry has never been more lacking for
- ability, value, and availability because nobody has practical skills to
- provide services with thanks to a public education system focused on
- feeding into a useless collegiate system
- have to move where the jobs are, your homes just aren't valuable in
- this marketplace" -> People lose their homes with no equity, declare
- bankruptcy and have to start new in Texas, Colorado, etc yet now all of
- the sudden there is skyrocketing demand for housing in the area because
- of a subsidized migrant population
- unions got too greedy and forced the jobs away" -> Again, the
- subsidized foreign population is shipped in to compete in the job market
- against non-subsidized locals
- Kamala
- Kamala's Laugh in Malaysia BOTG
- In Malaysia you think about Kamala you think about the laugh. I think most of the world knows it including the Russians
- On Russians hearing Kamala’s laugh BOTG
- I live in Latvia, but Russian is my native tongue.
- Regarding John’s comment that Russians wouldn’t hear Kamala. They most definitely have heard. Russia as a country and people are very outward focused. They are and were always interested in what happens in “the west” and how “the west” sees them. On federal channels they are showing America and election news all the time.
- When someone goes to America to visit or to live, the most common question from Russians to them would be “so, what do Americans think about Russia?” And when they answer “they mostly don’t”, they wouldn’t believe “yeah, right!”.
- It’s of course is used by propaganda – focusing on all the problems America has, instead of internal ones. Wouldn’t be surprised to learn that every Russian thinks about America at least once a day.

- In the last

- attributed to an increase in Employer Identification Numbers. I've
- recently found out that to open a bank account for a deceased person's
- estate, one needs to get an EIN number from the IRS. I think that a
- possible correlation is amusing.

- Brain fog from GLP1 injectable BOTG
- Hey, it’s not just weight loss injections that are dangerous. My wife took one for migraines and almost immediately had brain fog. Her doctor was sure it wasn’t from the drug so she kept taking, big mistake. The day after her 4th (monthly jab) she thought and EMS thought she had a stroke. She was admitted to icu and later found no stroke. A neurologist in hospital said I wouldn’t take that shot anymore. They called it a complex migraine. It was scary. She wasn’t able to communicate when I arrived at ER. They thought we were druggies at first.

- Pandemic Prevention Communist take over Canada
- So this passed in our House of Commons and now on just to the formality vote of our Senate. See key points noted below taken from the Bill
- - Whereas a One Health approach — a multisectoral and multidisciplinary collaborative approach that focuses on the human, animal, plant and ecosystem health and welfare interface — is central to preventing the risk of future pandemics;
- - provide for the establishment and interlinking of surveillance systems for infectious diseases in Canada and for infectious diseases of concern outside Canada;
- - **after consultation with the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, the Minister of Industry and provincial governments, provide for measures to**
- - **(i) reduce the risks posed by antimicrobial resistance,**
- - **(ii) regulate commercial activities that can contribute to pandemic risk, including industrial animal agriculture,**
- - **(iii) promote commercial activities that can help reduce pandemic risk, including the production of alternative proteins, and**
- - **(iv) phase out commercial activities that disproportionately contribute to pandemic risk, including activities that involve high-risk species;**
- - after consultation with relevant provincial ministers, a summary of changes in land use in Canada, including in relation to disturbed habitats, that could contribute to pandemic risk, such as deforestation, encroachment on wildlife habitats and urbanization and that were made

- Delta A350 knock tail off other plane BOTG
- You probably saw that a Delta CRJ-900 regional aircraft going to Lafayette, LA had its tail knocked off by a Delta A350 bound for Tokyo on an Atlanta taxiway. Here is what happened.
- First, the Delta A350 usually takes off on a longer runway that was closed due to construction so the Captain was likely not super-familiar with the taxiway he was using. The CRJ-900 was cleared to hold short of the runway for takeoff. The A350 was taxiing past perpendicular en route to another takeoff point to get maximum takeoff length on this runway. The A350 was cleared by the tower to taxi past the CRJ-900, but there were no specific instructions or cautions regarding the CRJ-900, although that is not common anyway at an airport as busy as Atlanta. They just don't have time for that.
- The CRJ-900 was not flush against the hold short line and had its tail partially extending into the taxiway parallel to the runway the A350 was taxiing at 15 mph. As the A350 passed it clipped the tail of the CRJ-900 pulling the tail off and then the pilot contacted the tower saying it had hit something not knowing what. The tower contacted the CRJ to tell them the tail had fallen off. It was all very calm and the CRJ Captain asked for a tow back to the gate on the news not realizing it was that bad.
- This is not a DEI situation. The A350 should not have passed the CRJ-900. The CRJ-900 was not required to be flush to the line. A larger plane would have extended even further into the taxiway, so the A350 Captain just took a risk and misjudged it. The call to the Tower saying they hit something tells me he didn't even notice it was that close further putting the blame on the A350 captain. The runway the A350 usually takes off from has a different hold short configuration where the planes fully block the taxiway as the hold line is at the edge of the taxiway. I think the Captain didn't understand the change in distance clearance on this not usually used runway for that large A350 widebody plane.
