- Greenland - Wikipedia
- Several American and Danish military bases are located in Greenland, including Pituffik Space Base (previously Thule Air Base), which is home to the United States Space Force's global network of sensors providing missile warning, space surveillance and space control to North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). Elements of the sensor systems are commanded and controlled variously by Space Deltas 2, 4, and 6.[148]
- In 1995, a political scandal in Denmark occurred after a report revealed the government had given tacit permission for nuclear weapons to be located in Greenland, in contravention of Denmark's 1957 nuclear-free zone policy.[149][68] The United States built a secret nuclear powered base, called Camp Century, in the Greenland ice sheet.[150] On 21 January 1968, a B-52G, with four nuclear bombs aboard as part of Operation Chrome Dome, crashed on the ice of the North Star Bay while attempting an emergency landing at Thule Air Base.[151] The resulting fire caused extensive radioactive contamination.[152] One of the H-bombs remains lost.[153][154]

- Trudeau
- The end of Justin Trudeau BOTG
- Here’s some background on what’s happening with Justin Trudeau in Canadia.
- Last Monday, his Finance Minister, Chrystia Freeland, resigned from cabinet in protest after she was told by Trudeau that he wanted to replace her with Mark Carney, the former governor of the Bank of Canada, and Bank of England.
- His caucus is now in open revolt, with many of them calling on him to resign for the good of the Liberal Party.
- The opposition parties who were keeping the Liberals in power with their minority in Parliament have all called for Trudeau to resign.
- The issues now are around timing and procedure. Parliament is not sitting until February, so there won’t be any opportunity for a confidence vote to trigger an election.
- There is also the threat of a 25% tariff from Trump when he is inaugurated in January.
- My prediction is that in new year, Trudeau announces he will resign and that a new leader will be elected by the Liberal party members to run in the election that must happen by October 2025.
- The only question is if he tries to stay on in the interim to provide continuity in negotiations with Trump, but everyone knows Trump hates him so that argument from him would be weak.
- The walls are finally closing in. Trudeau hung on to power for too long and now his party is projected to fall to 4th place based on recent polling. If the Liberal caucus does choose an interim leader, I predict Dominic LeBlanc will be the Prime Minister.
- LeBlanc was just named as the Finance Minister, and was at Mar-a-lago with Trudeau to meet with Trump last month He was also Justin Trudeau’s baby sitter when he was a child as his father served in Pierre Elliot Trudeau’s cabinet.

- Trudeau’s downfall BOTG
- Here’s the breakdown from your friendly Canadian neighbor:)
- Last week it was time for our finance minister (also the deputy prime minister), Chrystia Freeland (Trudeau’s biggest ally) to present the government’s most recent economic statement.
- Days before she was slated to present it in parliament, Trudeau fired her as finance minister. She in turn stepped down from Cabinet.
- The statement which was promised by Freeland to not go over $40 B deficit was actually a $60B deficit. Apparently she was tying to curb spending and Trudeau was fighting her on that because he likes to use political gimmicks such as a 2 month GST holiday (which he just unrolled and created chaos for small businesses right at the holidays) to coerce ppl to like him.
- Her quitting shook the Liberal caucus and as a result they held a meeting where a bunch of them asked him to resign and he refused.
- Parliament has also been shut down for 2 months because of a huge scandal known as the Green Slush Fund scandal where $400 million dollars of taxpayer money was allotted to cronies of the board of a govt run org called Sustainable Technology Development Canada. The govt wont hand over the unredacted docs to RCMP as requested by the Conservatives so the Speaker of the House shut down Parliament until they do. But Liberals are refusing.
- Anyway, basically our economy is tanking, along with housing affordability and health care and the PM has had scandal after scandal after scandal and everyone is done with him, including his own cabinet.
- The only reason an election hasn’t been triggered by a no -confidence motion is because all the opposing parties (there are 3) need to vote non-confidence and the NDP are holding out. Apparently because the leader will be eligible for a 2 million dollar pension in February which he won’t get if there’s an early election.
- Though he actually JUST came out and said he’d vote no confidence next round soooooo,
- those are the highlights.
- Trudeau will be gone very soon. It’s just a matter of how and when.
- On a different note Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
