- Adam—In a 5-4 decision, SCOTUS just let stand an
- order compelling the Trump Administration to pay $2 billion to USAID
- contractors. Highlighted news story and short SCOTUS opinion attached.
- It’s hard to get too spun up about this since the $2 billion represents work
- that was already completed. But since this is The Season of
- Constitutional Crisis, allow me to invoke the goose-and-gander rule to
- show how the judiciary is in a perpetual struggle with the other two
- branches of government, and “constitutional crises” are exceedingly easy
- Here you have an Article I
- Congress that has written laws defining judicial jurisdiction. You
- have an Article II Executive that is in charge of paying taxpayer money
- to contractors, and which enjoys sovereign jurisdiction in carrying out
- this function. And you have an Article III Judiciary that often invades
- these duties under the guise of “judicial review.” I won’t take sides
- in this case, but if we’re looking for a “constitutional crisis,” we can
- always find one because the three branches of government were
- effectively designed to be at war with one another. Some call it
- “checks and balances,” but the M5M calls it a “constitutional crisis”
- when it promotes their agenda.

- I was enjoying Magarexia(1744) and wanted to share a bit of boots on the ground and personal experience.
- While the term "bigrexia" is new to me and indeed sounds like total BS. I am quite involved in the powerlifting and body building community. Male body dysmorphia is indeed on the rise, and if it keeps current trends may even exceed female body dysmorphia in the next few years.
- Where the media clearly gets it wrong is their warning signs. Eating right, focus on clean diet, and going to the gym are far from a problem, and we would be much better if that was the norm. The problem arises when male expectations(real or perceived) demands more and more leanness and size. Many men with truly elite physiques still feel its not enough, and destroy themselves with over training, starvation, or otherwise losing social connections just to put on more mass.
- Steroids' and natural lifters in the "influencer" community make things far worse, as few will admit being on the juice leading men to think they are far behind when really they just don't have the same chemical program. Much of Hollywood uses some kind of performance enhancer, but will never admit it. Men see this, and feel the need to work harder and harder to reach a literally impossible goal.

- Adam—A federal judge in Oakland has ruled that families from various states may proceed with negligence and wrongful-death claims against social-media platforms. The legal theory is that these platforms purposefully addict minors, leading to compulsive use that causes mental and physical harm. The judge ruled that Section 230 does not protect the platforms from claims based on this “addiction” theory.
