- Thanks to Dave on Episode 132 for mentioning my song, "Fudge" on WavLake.
- I'm a musician who has long-hated Spotify and the rest, because they make all the money and give artists likes and a dumb dashboard in return.
- I wrote to you a couple of times about Computer Vision and TikTok, and have produced a jingle and some Japan-oriented clips throughout the past 6 years.
- When I was running an AI Class at SoftBank, one my students was a VP of Blockchain. At that time I thought of launching a crypto for musicians called Snob Coin. Listeners would be able to donate crypto to their favorite indie musicians on a subscription basis. But SHIT COINS! It never went anywhere.
- Now that RSS-Lightning is here and platforms like WavLake are picking up the slack with Satoshis, I think it is important for the Podcasting 2.0 Podcast to feature a song so that newcomers can understand the process. I agree on a 3-minute maximum, because greedy musicians will expect their 20-minute jams to be played in full. But the featured song does not need to be 3 minutes -- only the first 3 minutes of a song (or even 2.5 minutes given that it's eating into your time) could be featured. I enjoy the technical aspect of the podcast very much, but a music break would not be such a bad thing for a quick breather.
- We have music radio, and talk radio. We should also have music podcasts in on the opportunities. Having a quick segment would bring more people into Podcasting 2.0 and circumvent the closed podcast-o-sphere.
- Behind the Sch3m3s (Boo-bury) had me on as a guest recently, and they really are pushing hard and providing a lot of support to people like me in Japan, where this type of media is pretty much non-existent.
- It's all much appreciated.
