      • In the beginning, podcast money was exchanging hands person-to-person, through monthly fees from listeners via platforms like Patreon; the big-money “podcast wars” are just a few years old, and truly enormous exclusive deals like Rogan’s with Spotify are still in a trial phase. But as the business grows up, and as more reporters or agitators invest the time in poring over all this content, the days of podcasting without consequences will be numbered.
      • As podcasting becomes further entrenched as a mass-media format and hosts’ platforms grow in size, these pressures will only increase. Work like Paterson’s may be getting easier as well. The past two years have brought lawsuits against major podcast companies like SiriusXM and Spotify’s Gimlet Media for their lack of podcast accessibility features, including transcriptions.

    • Podcasting is not so much an "Industry", it's more analogous to sport

      • ABOUT - Podcast Hall of Fame
        • Hall of Fame Eligibility
        • The criterion for entry into the HOF is a combination of:
        • Mainstream popularity, being considered a great podcaster or contributor to the industry by their peers, or excelling in the medium of podcasting, as well as having historical significance in a positive manner.
        • Candidates should have something to offer in all three of the categories mentioned, or be so outstanding in one or two that they deserve inclusion.
        • To be eligible for entry into the HOF, a nominee must have completed five years since their first involvement in the medium, but longevity should not be considered a qualification in and of itself.

    • PodPing
      • Just checked and 263,941 feeds are not being polled because we get them from podping. Sure, it's not all of them yet. But, man it sure is nice (for everyone) to not have to poll a quarter of a million feeds.

      • I would like to apologize for my last email to you and your company. I was wrong for sending such an email like that I was angry at all of the podcast directories like Google, Apple, and so on I lumped everyone together. What was happening with the other companies had add my show as a new show on their platform which made a duplicate shows and they deleted the wrong one. I am still new at podcasting i am only going into y second year and stuff makes me worried of whats happening etc. Again I am sorry for my last email I shouldn't have lump your company with the other directories. I hope you can forgive me.
